Stateline Paddlers Rock River trip from Mactown Forest Preserve to Atwood Homestead Park on Saturday Oct 19, 2013. Car shift will be at 10:00, plan to be there 09:30 to 09:45 to unload at the Mactown Forest Preserve boat launch. Mactown Forest Preserve is at the comer of Freport road or IL route 75 and Wagon Wheel road in Rockton, IL. (42.445185,-89.07965) Note: the Mactown boat launch is the next road to the right passed the Visitors building and down the hill to the river. The trip is almost 10 miles. Because of the colder weather setting in remember to dress for the water. This can be a beginners paddle has boat traffic will be light if any at all.
