Rock River from Oregon to Grand Detour on Saturday 26 May 2018

StateLine Paddlers trip on the Rock River from Oregon to Grand Detour on Saturday 26 May 2018.

Those looking for a short trip can get out at the Castle Rock lunch break, about 5 miles, Grand Detour is just under 11miles, and if there is interest, some can extend the trip to Lowell Park just over 19 miles total.

Plan on arriving at   East Park, Oregon  , on the east side of the river just north RT 64 (about a  1/2 mile south of Lowden State Park) on river road, by 10:00 to unload.

I am running the car shift a little later than usual, 10:15, as some paddlers are joining us at the lunch break at Castle Rock State park and I am giving them a bit of extra time.

Launch 42° 1.037’N,  89° 19.520’W  –  Take out 41° 53.759’N  –  89° 24.784’W for you GPS people.

Car shift at 10:15.

The  weather forecast shows 85°F, SSW wind @ 10 mph and a possible shower (less than 1/8” rain).

See you on the river
