Kishwaukee River 10/14/2018 from Bauman Park to Atwood

Stateline Paddlers is hosting a trip on the Kishwaukee River from Bauman Park in Cherry Valley to Seth Atwood forest preserve on Sunday, 14 of October 2018.  Car shuttle is at 10:00, so plan to arrive by 09:45 for time to unload.

This is a COLD weather paddle, the high temperature for the day is predicted to be 46°F, and the water will be cold.  Dry suits or wet suits are highly recommended if you have one.  Also note the gage height is high now but is predicted to be lower on Sunday.  Here is the link https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=lot&gage=pryi2.

The usual rules apply including but not limited to:

Participants provide their own suitable canoe or kayak, paddle(s), PFD/approved life jackets, and wear PFD on water

Minors must be accompanied by responsible adult

Adults must sign waiver sheet

Hydration/drinking water BYO

Lunch BYO

Dump bag – Dry bag w/change of clothing
