Rock River Paddle from Oregon to Grand Detour

I am hosting a paddle on the Rock River from Oregon to Grand Detour on Sunday 11 October 2020. The weather prediction at this time is for head winds of 15 mph with gust to 32 mph, slight chance of rain, but no accumulation expected. Temperatures should be in the sixties (Fahrenheit). Expect noticeable waves on open stretches due to the wind. This will be a paddle, not a float down stream. Rain gear is recommended as a precaution for comfort in case there is more rain that expected.Lunch stop will be at Castle Rock State Park, and we will take out at Grand Detour. If some one want to get out at Castle Rock (5 Miles), we can have you drop your car there and the people shuttling from Grand Detour can pick you up and take you back to the launch.

Meet at East Park Oregon at 09:44 or before, and I will run the Shuttle at 10:01. Masks and open windows are required for the shuttle to meet COVID-19 rules.East Park is located just north of State Route 64 east of the bridge on River Road at the dam. We launch about 60 meters south of the dam.
